Turns out, however, I have another story. So, one of the "gets" at Comic Con was this freaking huge "Big Frakkin Bag" (no, I don't know that dude. Magic of the internet.). It was just a bag. But it was shiny and purple and when in
Anyway. So, on...Friday, I think it was, my partner in crime and I gave up on trying to be back at the admittedly cool looking SciFi booth at the right time and just asked for a bag from one of the guys dolling out pins (Yeah, Starbuck pin). We talked to him for a while, he disappeared in the "back" for a while, and came back out and handed us Eureka tins "full of Smarties." Which, uh, great, dude, but where're our bags? He did eventually give us apparently some of the last bags to be handed out at Con, which was a) cool for us, but b) poor planning on SciFi's part cause this was before noon with two more whole days of Con to go.
ANYWAY. I threw the Smarties in my bag and forgot all about them until just now when I opened them up and discovered, to my delight, that it is actually full of Smarties! It's like Halloween! Compressed sugar for everyone! (Unrelated quote: "Miss! You have to take a Starburst! I draw Looney Toons! You have to walk away with something sweet." ooooook.)
Anyway, in writing this story up, I thought I should link you to a picture of what I'm talking about. Little did I know that in the process, I would stumble across the freaking black market of free Comic Con swag. Hosted by eBay, natch. Eureka tin ("Smoke-free home!"). Comic Con Bags: Wonder Woman (I actually have two of these, maybe I should sell.), Watchmen, and Supernatural/Smallville. Keep in mind also? That these huge bags are like walking around as a giant sandwich board. There were a couple of other variations, but I think you get the point.
Who buys this stuff? I barely wanted it, and I got it for free.
